UI Changes

To begin with, if you’re a regular reader here you will notice that there have been some changes to the post design here. I received an email from a reader who brought the site contrast to my attention which caused difficulty when reading for a long time. Well, the old contract for all post-pages is now gone and we have the following changes:

  • Gray background replaced by white
  • Code font-family changed from Mono to Consolas
  • Code background changed from gray to yellow
  • All floating notes are lighter and easy on the eyes

Next Automation Framework

I’ve done some preliminary work for the upcoming framework and would like it to be data-driven. The biggest challenge has been to find an application on which the framework can run and not hurt it by loading a ton of data to it. Chances are I may create the AUT for this. BUT, if you have something in mind that can be used, please do let me know.

Hi Anshoo:
I follow your site regularly. This is THE BEST site for QTP that I recommend to everyone. As you asked us to let you know if we have any idea for an article, here is some that I would really love to read and get benefitted:

1. More detail about XMLWarehouse. Programmatically manipulate XMLWarehouse.
2. Web Service Testing in detail using Web Service Add-In and WinHTTP
3. Parsing XML, WSDL
4. Parse SOAP Response and modify SOAP Request (add, modify Node/ Elements values/ parameters) at run time
5. Setting the Log Tracking feature in QTP 11

So far this is the list I have and I would really appreciate if you please take some time and post articles on the above items.

Best Regards

Dhup Chaya: Thank you for your amazing feedback! I will certainly be adding articles on these topics, starting probably with XML. I would love to write on the Log Tracking feature, too.

Thank you again!

Thanks Anshoo. We are eagerly waiting for those articles from you soon! Recently I am working with HP Extensibility Accelerator but found that not much article on this available online. If you could please shed some lights on HP EA that would be great and very helpful for us too !
