Hi,

I am also facing the same pbm, I tried with the above method, but still it didn’t work.
As soon as I select “option”, popup message got displayed.. after that QTP didnot move on to the next statement..& not able to stop the execution.. when i close the popup, it move on to the next statement.

Please provide any solution to this..

Marilyn, were you able to click the SiebButton as a WebElement? Did it throw a popup?

Hi there,
I’m facing a similar issue with attempting to have QTP select a Submit button in my Siebel application. I am working with QTP 10 and have the environment configurations settings in place at the server level. Yet no matter what I try it does not work. I can highlight the button but can not get the click method to work. I’ve tried using the suggestion with WebFramework but no luck there either.

You will find concepts of different types of Siebel Objects here. Even though Siebel is quite interesting to automate, and generally quite straight-forward, it would really help you if you scan over the methods of Siebel objects because it works quite differently from any other application, mainly because it has its own methods that are not found in any other application environment. hi,
I want to know if we have to start automating Siebel web client, how do we proceed
We have the demo version of Siebel Client (for call centre Module)installed from Oracle, where we are able to see the functionalities(like account, opportunities, Service Request, Activities etc)

We have a licensed version of QTP 9 and also Siebel add in installed.

Please guide me in this.
